Animation Salon
How important is Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in animation education today? Opportunities to learn animation have expanded exponentially in recent years, and historically marginalized groups of people are beginning to fill animation classrooms. Are historically marginalized groups of people also filling animation workspaces?
During this meet up, Professor Kathy Baur will present her work toward DEI as an animation educator of approximately 25 years and as Chair of the Workplace Equality Committee for the Animation Guild from 2020-2022. The USC Student Animated Documentary Short Film, I Never Picked Cotton, will also be screened. Join us for a lively discussion regarding DEI in animation education.
Join us on Zoom on Sunday July 16th at 1 PM PST.
